PhD, Researcher in Federal Research Center Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS (Russia)

Ekaterina Trifonova graduated from Novosibirsk State University as a molecular biologist, and defended her PhD thesis as a molecular geneticist. Ekaterina became interested in the molecular mechanisms of ASD when her son was diagnosed with autism in his early childhood. Ekaterina's research interests focus on mTOR signaling pathway, key translation regulator. It is mTOR that makes it possible to link together all the neurological and immune disorders observed in autism.
